I don't think they're limited, but this first run is being hit pretty hard in the places I've checked. Amazon is already out of Pure.

I can't wait until I'm in the states, I'm gonna buy these now.
They're 120g vinyls? Some sellers mention it's 120g, I wonder if there are "heavier" pressings?

I just bought all of them except Pure - at Soundgarden in Baltimore. $17.99 each.

They sound fantastic. A 10k bump perhaps? Not as murky as the original vinyl. Good stuff. Nice liner notes. Steve + Bob- great work on the remastering.

Just got Goat and Liar on vinyl, they sound amazing. Really can hear alot more detail of everything and seems like more bass. The drums sounds even beefier and the bass seems to have more low end content and is less distant sounding.

The free mp3s sound suprisingly really good too, encoded at 320kbps. Bonus tracks was a nice suprise. Can't see much need for the CDs.

Did they have many leftover? I'm short on cash, and I definitely need to get "Head", and probably "Liar", since my old copy's scratched.

"Down" in particular seems greatly improved. It's like a whole new record now. It was never one of my favorites of theirs. I always felt the recording didn't quite seem up to par with their previous albums. Until now that is. Good work guys.

It's the only one I've listened to so far and I can say that it sounds fantastic. "Queen for a Day" just slays.

We should talk. I've got a whole setup where I run the mix through a waves plug-in to bring everything up in the mix, then I hit it with some sweet settings for T-Racks that make it kick the speakers right out. Even the bug farts end up sounding like jet planes.

I can give you some tips if you want. Or I could come work for you. Either way.

Yeah, they had a few on the wall and 1-2 more copies in the new release section. Not sure why Pure was the one sold out (?!) I would have thought Goat would sell like Tickle Me Elmo did during the 1996 holiday season.

Yup, I have to say Down is the highlight. The other records were already fine, but Down always sounded really flat to me. Now it punches it's weight.

Good job fellas.

I re-purchased Goat to start with.

Not a single store in Rockford, IL had any of these reissues or the new MoB CD...

All of our independent record stores are gone. For those of you in mid-sized markets who still have kickass records stores, support the hell out of them and get your friends in there.

I ordered them offline because I am not headed to Chicago, Madison, or Dekalb anytime soon.

My copy of Goat came without the 12" X 24" insert w/liner notes etc.

Sounds good though, think I'll pick up Down too.

Picked up Goat on vinyl this afternoon, both neighbours are away so taking the opportunity to really blast it. Just put the needle down on side two. Monkey Trick. Jesus Christ.

I realize this is kinda obvious, but these sound really fantastic.
Steve and Bob - you guys did a great job. My original copy of Goat has always been a water mark of high fidelity rock recording, but the remastered version has raised the bar.

I downloaded the free mp3s and burned cds, and I think they sound noticeably great as well (for mp3s).

Proof that the lossy encoders (like mp3, aac, etc) do a much better job dealing with material that retains wide dynamics and is not crushed with limiters. The encoding algorithms for these lossy formats were designed to work with non-crushed program. It's a common misconception that if something is to be made into an mp3, you need to make it really "fake loud" first, for it to survive and sound awesome after being encoded. The opposite is true. The mp3 encoders do a poor job at encoding very loud, heavily limited material with a low crest factor (distance between average level and peak level).
