Profoundly fucked up. I hope the woman is in the care of good people, and everyone gets the treatment they need.

This is awful. I am hoping that this didn't really happen. Although I will admit to being morbidly curious about it.

Gotta love the Internet. I've seen in more than one place: "This sucks, but maybe it's kind of a good thing in that it'll get more people to listen to his music which I love." I mean, are some of these guys true fans or what?

I don't want to know what "used the tools of his trade to sexually assault the woman" means. Really I don't.

I thought it was pretty fucked up that one of the websites covering this had an imbedded Leviathan mp3. Way to promote the band, fuck that.

If you're talking about the comments on the Metalsucks post about it, that shit is one of the least disgusting sentiments expressed by the commenters there.

Metalsucks linked to this interview w/ Nachtmystium's Blake Judd.

http://www.nocleansinging.com/2011/05/0 ... htmystium/

BW is the interviewer, SP is Sanford Parker, and BJ is, of course, Blake Judd. Judd says:

BW- I only have one more question. It’s kind of personal and dark, I apologize in advance. So you worked in Twilight with Wrest, and he did drums on Addicts…

BJ- Hah, I know where this is going.

SP- Oh yeah we do.

[laughs]

BJ- I was waiting for this.

BW- You were waiting? Then I won’t keep you. Please, talk, what’s up with the girl and the tattoo gun?

BJ- That situation is fucked.

SP- It’s total bullshit.

BJ- Total bullshit. Before you even ask, he didn’t do that. I saw a fight between him and that woman in my house before. It was the last confrontation they had. Drunk fucking retarded boyfriend-girlfriend fight. It was the last time they saw each other before that allegedly happened. I saw that woman beat her own head against the wall so that she would look beat up when the police showed up. He didn’t do anything to that woman.

Jef Whitehead is a fucking maniac, but he is not a rapist. He is not a criminal.

BW- What do you think will happen to him?

BJ- I think he’s got enough friends around him with enough money that he’s going to have the lawyers to get out of the mess that he’s in. And the fact that the woman pressing the charges has ten different cases on file of dropping rape charges against boyfriends is going to get him scott free if he has the right lawyer. You can be certain that his friends in Chicago and San Francisco and Oakland have been working together and communicating with one another to ensure that we have the money to help him out. Jeff is a good enough dude, despite his many faults, that we know we’ll get it back from him in one way or another. He’s family. He will not rot in jail if we do anything about it because he did not do that. I know because I saw them together and I watched what she did. And that’s all I have to say about that. He is my brother. I have known him for eight years and he did not do that. I know that for a fact.

Leviathan Q&A on Pitchfork today. Not as good as I'd hoped.

from some other board:

"Thought I would follow up on this. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to, and that all the blogs/news outlets/messageboards would make as much noise about the outcome as they did about the accusation, but that didn't happen.
Jef paid a lot of his own money to have the police do something they should have done in the first place. Fingerprint work was done on everything that she had reported used on her in the attack, and all of the things they found inside her. There were tons of her fingerprints on all of it, hers alone. I have no idea what kind of action they are going to take with her, but it has come to light that she banged her head on the ground to knock herself out, and also shoved everything inside herself, Jef's part in it was getting in a drunken screaming match, nothing more. He's out and working in Chicago, go get tattooed."

charges dropped...so, that's a thing.

Bigamy would be pretty hilarious.

(Note that I have no idea how actual bigamy plays out. I'm picturing the black metal misanthrope being an altar addict; he just can't help getting married!

scene: Suburban Catholic church.

Fr. J - "And now, unless any here have any reason to declare it not be so, I now pronounce-"

Scorned woman - "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, PADRE! I GOT A RING ON THIS FINGER THAT SAYS THAT'S ONE TOO MANY CHALICES FOR HIM TO BE LURKIN'!")

(My imagination is oft a fine companion for my ignorance. V oft.)
