This show must be disappointing to people who just want to enjoy a series about a former teacher who cooks meth.

Just to throw this out there -

How in the hell is Skylar not making an immunity deal and going into witness protection with her kids? ERawk has already mentioned this but, at this point it's getting hard to suspend disbelief.

Walt would be dead the minute he went inside. End of problem.

What acceptable outcome does she see on the course she is on at this point?

Quite possibly true.

There's the lingering desire to not let the kids find out about their father, but I think at some point she's going to get over that.

As mention above, what a punch to the gut.

So much to love in this episode [SPOILERS!]:

    - Chekov's dirt bike
    - Meth Damon: His questioning of Walt and Jesse's heist had me suspecting he was an informant or an undercover cop. Then when he was on top of the train and the gang had to make a sudden split, I was certain he was going to eat rail.
    - The return of the EPA agent! Skyler used his skills to get Bogdan to sell her the car wash. Nice to see him back. "You guys can fix an engine? Of course you can, you're engineers!"
    - Meth Damon, again: Waving "Hello" to the kid, and then...a bullet to the gut. Walt did tell him only the three of them (and Mike) and no one else was to know about the heist. He took Walt's words to heart. This now creates another dynamic between Jesse, who is committed to keeping kids out of their work and is protective of them, and Walt, who is not above using kids for his advantage. How will Walt convince Jesse this was the right course of action?
    - Mike: "Everyone is Meryl Streep with a gun to the head." Bit of foreshadowing to Jesse realizing Walt poisoned Brock? Walt's been very vocal with Skyler this season about that incident with Jesse. Doubt it was just thrown in for dialogue purposes alone...

What a perfect sense of relief followed by "Oh my God that is the craziest thing they've ever done" 10 seconds later.

I thought he was just one of Goodman's goons. He was there when Ted had his accident.

*puts on tinfoil hat*

Also, Todd sounds like the German tod, which in English means death. The abbreviation TOD also means time of death.

It's all downhill from here.

She'll get better once she starts going from scared lady to end-of-her-rope crazy lady... I hope. I want to see her go bonkers and fuck with Walt big time.

well i think the actress who plays her is good, but they've made too big a deal out of her character in this season. prior to this she's been a constant thorn in walt's side, which was understandable and made for some good drama at first, but now their idea is "well now that walt is even deeper in the game, she's gonna be even more of a bitch." the back-and-forth between her and walt is getting old.

the show's creators are surely aware that so many people see skylar as "that bitch," and i sort of feel they're pushing that right now to prime us for a very gruesome murder of her and possibly others.

or they feel it's become too much of a "guy's show" and they now intend to compensate.

or this:

yeah, between her, mike, and hank, (and jesse?), someone is going to seriously derail walt's train before the thing is over. first scene of this season seemed to foreshadow a serious "shit hits the fan" moment in the near future.

^^^Tod meaning death in German, good catch.^^^

Walt told Skyler he was robbing a train, I've a feeling those words will come back to haunt him. Hubris.

Hank referring to Walt Jr. as 'Emo McGee' = comedy gold.

Though the show is much less comedic now obviously.

edit: I don't see Skyler as a 'bitch', more like a good person looking out for her kids, which I respect.
