Anyway, she said she's cool with grabbing a drink sometime soon and asks if I'm in the city often. I write back yeah, about five days a week now that school is back.
That was last week.

I just posted in the same thread as her, I didn't even respond to one of her posts aside from to make a joke a couple of pages back.
Tania makes her own decisions, like she decides if she wants to pay for thing or split them with people. If I tried to negate that, I wouldn't feel like I was treating her like an adult at all. Each to their own.

Keep it moving. Live your life. She'll either write you back or she won't.

The inherent cotradiction being we're supposed to somehow hate ourselves for being men, due to our historical oppression of women, yet still adhere to an ancient code of masculinity. It's some kinda twisted "We're the good guys because we pay for everything. I mean, the bad guys do too, but they expect you to fuck them for it. We want you to as well, but we're used to disappointment" line of reasoning.
Fuck all that noise.
You miss the point. It's not adhering to an ancient code of masculinity. it's adhering to a code of basic decency, with some romance peppered in.
Also, yes, you should be somewhat ashamed of your gender and how they behave and strive to rise above that behavior. It's an example of what you don't want to be, but could very easily become as long as society enables it. How many of the asshole date raping jock frat boys in high school and college are you willing to align yourself with?
It's about being better and distinct from the rest of the apes. How your culture treats your Women is directly related to how you do too.

I admire your dedication to international comedy. You made the correct pun on my name, but in a very English as a second language kind of way! Salut!
What do they call Hicks and Hillbillies and Rednecks where you live? Is there a similar sort of thing?

Where? This doesn't even have any correlation with my post you quoted. It makes no sense at all.
She does whatever she likes, always has done. Nothing I say or do has ever or will ever change that. This is my third post saying that. She is a completely independent person, like you. I can't and don't want to speak for her and I don't think I've ever tried it. I can keep repeating this or we can move on.

Pretty much this:
And we call them Rednecks. Crednecks!
