i didn't "get" them maybe the first time i listened but i'm thoroughly enjoying "they threw us" and "they were wrong."

the s/t lp is ok but goes downhill after the first track.

Man their last record sucks a fuckin' turd, I have tried on 3 seperate occasions to sit down and hear anything but a bunch of bullshit and I can't.
Sounds like an 8th grade band in a garage to me. The songs are weak as fuck.

it's growing on me. many tracks are soooo obviously derivative (JAMC, beck, some rockabilly, 80's goth, flaming lips) that it's a bit annoying, but essentially every track but the one that sounds like beck (track 2) is nice. s/t is not as interesting as previous efforts.

i had the first album. then the bassist left and i lost interest.

heard bits and pieces over the years but nothing struck me hard enough to bother with trying to hear more.

these are powers (old bassist's band) were fun for a moment or two. at least live once or twice.

Oh, is that what happened? Maybe that's why I'm ambivalent. I heard "Loose Nuts On the Velodrome" when they first came out, and I was all about that... and that's all bass.

Yeah that first album was real bouncy skronky bass led stuff, good album.
They have had one or two decent songs on each album after.

That old bassist's tone was fucking incredible. Like blocks of granite scraping against each other. I'd love knowing how he managed to sound like that.

I never liked them nearly as much after the first rhythm section left.

I really liked that first record too. That was the peak of this band for me. The two albums after that were interesting but the last one was bland. Not holding out much hope.
