Recently watched Bad Lieutenant and liked it a lot. Loved the ending, so great. Cage's over-the-top performance was exactly what the role required.

Herzog would make an outstanding Governor for California, didn't you know?

What a step-down that would be, going from filmmaker to politician.

I had noticed, thank you for your contributions.

To be a politician one must cooperate, make compromises, be involved in collective decision-making. Werner Herzog is no politician.

Is that okay? I don't want to overstep. I just think this needs to happen.

Why's it so great that he made a bunch of dudes drag a ship over a mountain? I wouldn't like that bozo in charge of timesheets or labour laws if that's his attitude to other people's work. Werner can become a politican when Klaus comes back and maintains the office of marriage guidance councillor.

Exactly.

Forgot about the Ferrara movie two minutes into this flick. I want an iguana...

You've not overstepped, your contributions are appreciated.

We watched "Where the Green Ants Dream" last night. It was OK, a little heavy-handed. At the time it was released it probably felt less so.

From the website Old Hollywood.

Werner Herzog, speaking at the British Film Institute, watches a clip of Klaus Kinski in Aguirre: The Wrath of God (1972, dir. Werner Herzog)

That this is on a website call "Old Hollywood" is an insult to Herzog and Kinski.

My friend Michelle, who participated in Herzog's first and only guerilla film school, on a cool find: "From Ecstatic to Rapturous Truth: Ebert and Herzog Get Meta"

Cute. I'll never grow tired of hearing this man's voice, even when it's not really his voice.

Just saw his new documentary, In The Cave Of Forgotten Dreams, last night. It's in 3D! It's also fucking great. Very, very interesting and exciting. And with plenty of those beautiful "keep the camera rolling" Herzog interviews that compel people to reveal themselves.

I love Werner. He is NOT CRAP

i also saw this film the other night. i love the prehistoric weapons expert or whatever he is. there was a funny q and a (satellite) with herzog afterward as well. apparently his next project is a documentary about prisoners on death row. but i don't want to spoil the ending for you.
