Actually, I prefer Bon Scott way more than the Brian Johnson era.

Back in Black is great though. No :WF:

31. I haven't voted.

Only joking. I like rock just as much as jazz or disco or house, etc.

Certainly not crap. A true testament to the staying power and greatness of a band is this: I didn't get into them until my mid-twenties. That's right, I didn't grow up with them, sure, I heard some songs, it was impossible to grow up in the 80's without hearing the big ones.
Guitar right.

This is weird! I'm from Perth, too, and I was about to post something about it being hard to divorce my actual opinion from the fact that AC/DC is basically an institution in Australia, particularly in Bon's hometown. Maybe this is a more recent thing, coinciding with things like Bon's statue going up etc (I imagine I'm somewhat younger than the above poster). I'm sure I'm not alone in having a knee-jerk reaction which leads to disowning anything super-popular regardless of it's actual quality, and there have been plenty of times where I've felt like doing this with AC/DC. But the tunes man, the fucking tunes. Not Crap x 1000000

Think I've finally come around to kinda liking AC/DC, after voting "Crap" on them several years ago...

BusBus posted a link on Facebook to "It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock N' Roll)" and I listened to it and got a big kick out of it (plus a hearty dose of adrenaline). It's a great song!

I'm still not sold on Brian Johnson's singing, but enjoying the Bon Scott era is a start, especially for someone who isn't that into metal and it's variants or Seventies hard rock, for the most part.

So yeah, I've officially reneged on my "Crap" vote, for what it's worth...

I'm listening to a lot of AC/DC over the past couple of days. Man, do I love the rock music made by AC/DC.

I know there are a lot of fellow fans here, so maybe you guys could help me out with something:

What is "Givin' the Dog a Bone" about? I feel like its lyrics are a little vague, and I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
I play in The Family Ghost.

The title of the song is "Given the Dog a Bone," a concept that has mystified me for over thirty years.

Oof, you're right! That unorthodox title adds yet another layer of mystery to this song.

Maybe it's about dogs, like Straw Dogs?
