I heard these dudes for the first time last night over at a friend's house.
Seemed kinda cool.
Any particular record that is a standout that's worth getting?

the one i listen to most is lucifer songs but all have good songs.

snail king is also good.

you need a system that can handle the low frequencies, of which there are many and often.

ufomammut is >< sunn0))) + ministry, and i mean that in the best possible way.

not crap.

Listening to Snail King right now.

What I've always loved about them is that they're the only band whose name actually describes the music they make in an accurate way. Spacey and Heavy.

I *LOVE* this band. The collaborative record with Lento is pretty flippin' ace.

YES! That Lento record is a mind-blower.

UFOMAMMUT - EVE - APRIL 2010

“EVE” is the title of the fifth album of UFOMAMMUT.

Recorded at Locomotore Studio in Roma by Lorenzo Stecconi (Soundlord on Idolum), Eve is a 45 minutes long single track developing in 5 main movements.

Passing through the massive atmospheres of Idolum and filtered by the mastodontic riffs of Snailking, EVE is a totally new step in the sonic adventure of Ufomammut, another level in the band's sound research.

EVE will be a totally different record from the previous ones and it’ll be a very intense and evil one.

The album is a homage to the first Woman on Earth, Eve and the rebellion to her creator for bringing knowledge to Man.

Yes.

My esteemed lifestyle consultant Dr. A.S.H. loves this band, citing their record as her "Best of 2009." I need to hear this.

My friend lent me the Idolum album back when it came out and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Never really bothered digging into the rest of their discog though.

Saw them last night on their euro tour. Wonderfully slow and heavy.

Something not mentioned here is that 2/3 of the band form the Malleus art studio. They bring a lot of artwork on tour (priced between EUR 25 and EUR 100)

Tremendous stuff.
