I Stand Alone is pretty funny, and Irreversible is cute. The new one kind of lost its way. I'm going to come down crap, I like my Nihilism less calculated. Still, his enthusiasm is palpable.

Really like that bouncy camera stuff at beginning on "Irreversible." For that alone Noe gets a n/c

He's a dipshit.
It took Enter the Void for me to realize that.
Usually my bullshit detector works a lot better...for films anyway.

I haven't seen any of his other films, but I find Irreversible awful and stupid enough to convince me that Noe is CRAP.

Tommy Alpha said something brilliant on Facebook a few months ago:
"My two favorite French films: Irreversible and Amelie."
I laughed hard at that.

I wish I was that funny. Moral of the story: lock your laptop if you leave it around drunken housemates.

Yup. Same here. Man, that was an awful film. I mean, concept was
"Duuuuuddde, you should totally make that" and the script was just
Doctors awful

I don't think
Irreversible being stupid stops it from being good, but being stupid might stop Gasper Noe.

Someone gave me a copy of Irreversible, but I ended up trading it in at one point. The film is on Netflix Instant, but I don't feel a need to watch it any time soon. The guy screams superficial based on what I've read. Can't vote yet.

That's like Dane Cook holding a copy of a Lenny Bruce record.
