His son travels around with the Jaguar and a Black Speedster. His 911 sold last year for over a million.

He was smart and realized at some point that speaking lines in average movies made him look stupid, so he would always trim his lines way down. Most of his great moments are reaction shots.

I've never seen him in anything where he wasn't stiff as a board. I mean, there's "cool" and then there's frozen.

I think his best appearance is in "On Any Sunday," and he's not acting in that movie. That and the scene where he blows the corner in "Bullitt." Again, he's probably not acting in that particular scene.

For the record, he didn't do all of the driving in "Bullitt" and he didn't do the jump in "Great Escape."

still, nc

He's really good at emerging from solitary confinement.

No offense, but I could only get through about 10 seconds of that before I wanted to fucking kill someone. Maybe I still kind of do, but I feel comfortable leaving the house now, at least.

As an actor he was seldom better than ok. Not alot of range between roles. Yeah he drove nice-looking fast cars, looked cool and smoked grass, so what?

Wikipedia reveals that he supported the Vietnam war.

Also, when he found out that he had been added to Richard Nixon's enemy list, he flew an enormous American flag outside his house as a public display of his patriotism.

So all in all, CRAP.

He also forced Ali McGraw to give up her own career when they got married, because he was an insecure, sexist little bitch.

Fuck this guy.

Strange no mention of "Tom Horn" here. Saw it again over the break and it holds up well. Maybe the best post-Josey Wales western.

McQueen's NC of course.
