Ah, pelicans. As a kid I would taunt them by making giant grovelly, squelching noises with my mouth. Being the grumpy old things that they are, they would puff up their pouches and growl in response.

That said, they are magnificent creatures to behold when they're flying. Absolutely gigantic and awe-inspiring. But on the ground, yes, they are big douchebags. I don't think I can vote here!

Reminds me those terrible Canadian geese. I remember when I was a little girl, a woman that was babysitting me took me and her son to the park and we had some McDonald's. The cheeseburger had everything on it, which wasn't okay with me, so she said "Why not feed it to the geese?" Well, alright. I threw the burger out to the birds and did the go after the cheeseburger? No. They hissed and flapped their wings at me and began chasing me. I ran so fast back to the car and they stared at me from outside for maybe 10 seconds, before slowly walking back to the burger and devouring it in seconds. They're assholes. I'm sure this has happened to pretty much everyone that has had to deal with geese. Horrible birds.

For this reason I am voting crap for pelicans.

When a friend from England came over, he was fascinated by all the praying mantises in the garden. I never knew they didn't have them in England. It was odd seeing somebody giving a fuck about them.
