About a third of her first album was really good and the rest was bad

I heard her second album is supposed to be better, but I haven't heard it

Totally boring lyrics, although I'm not sure if that's supposed to be the point

I get the feeling all this grime shit is going to sound horribly outdated in 5-10 years

It sounded outdated about a month after I got the album.

A month tops.

CRAP.

Apart from 'Galang', which is pretty good. The first single. Everything I've heard after that I didn't think was much cop at all.

She's one of those people who seems to be talented, but not actually that talented; who 'ticks so many boxes' that she's been foisted into some sort of prominent 'edgy' meedja position.

Didn't like the first album that much. The new one, however, is tits.

Not crap, waffles.
A whopping thirteen years of guiding the melody via bass guitar in ifihadahifi.
Also swell guy.

"Galang" was used in a Honda advert here, which amused me, since they didn't fade out the part where she sings about riding in a BMW.
I make this music.
I also make pictures that you can buy. Feel free to look at my records for sale.

N/C.

I can only listen to her in short bursts, but there's enough good stuff to keep me interested. What I've heard of the new album is awesome.

WF for being sort of irritating.

I have a dance remix of URAQT (which sucks) which does not suck at all.

For this alone, NC.

The only thing I like about MIA is that Diplo from Hollertronix works/worked with her. Crizzzzzzzzzzzzap.
I never thought I'd recover from the trouble that Youtube put me through...

Not the best lyricist, but she's excellent at producing and does a good live show.

Not crap.

Voted Crap thinking this was the Mike Conley Alternative Tentacles soon to be "Big Drill Car" punk-pop piece of shit.

Winds up this is a Sri Lanka hip hop piece of shit. Cool. Don't even have to change my vote.

Oh god! This chick is more annoying than when my sister gets ahold of her Spice Girls DVD.

I can't find anything appealing about her songs.

This artist is crap.

I have never heard this lady before so as per usual I played the Google Image Search Game™. She gets a rare pass from me! I've been streaming some of her music and it doesn't offend me at all. Some of it is quite amusing, some of it is danceable. She seems to actually have an opinion on wider socio-political themes which endears me to her further.

I really like Arular, but aside from a few songs most of the new one is mediocre or downright annoying. Still, the good ones save it. NC overall.

she's a one-trick-pony if there ever was one. ever listen to an entire MIA CD, the whole way through, in one sitting? didn't think so; there's a reason for that. it's the same song, over and over.

and this silly british genre, "grime," is funny. any of those european electronica genres (always defined by, among a few other things, a precise tempo range, that i suppose cannot be bent by just 2 bpm) tend to be funny as such.

I saw her on MTV between videos, asking why America is scared of M.I.A. Hello? You're on MTV. In America.

I lean toward Not Crap, but there's an annoyance factor at work as well.

I guess it's just that I don't hear anything like her, so I lean NC for the novelty.
Why do you make it so scary to post here.

It's ok I guess, better than Brittney Spears or some shit.
