Rapeman gear.

Postby buhmann on Mon Mar 28, 2016 7:04 am

During the unfortunately brief Rapeman stint, what gear did Steve use? Amps and pedals.
Nothing of note in my signature. Move along.

Most likely the black sled into a bassman, with either a rat or harmonic percolator in between.

To be fair, the OP may have wanted to book time at EA to record some Rapeman-soundey music, and was making sure either he had the right gear or that they would.

It was the same rig I had in Big Black, the black Flynn or the red Strat into the IVP and a monitor cabinet, sometimes with an MXR digital delay set to a modulating 45ms delay doubling.

Was the Bassman used at this time or was it just the Yamaha power amp? and lastly did you only use the HP1, or was there a Rat pedal ever used? Thanks Steve

Didn't add the Bassman until I started using the Travis Bean as my main guitar. The HP1 was used for fuzz stuff in Rapeman, it got stolen in Germany and I used something else for the last few shows. Got another one eventually.

I can't understand how the double cut Telecasters or the Leads I or II aren't being continuously made by Fender or other mainstream manufacturers. They are fucking symmetrical and beautiful.

Why does everything have to be even?

OCD powered by years of exposition to ads. Aesthetics implemented in the human mind by the car industry and others. I'm not asking to make all the telecasters have double cutaway, just a regular manufacture of the double model.
