Whoa!

Hey, sulfur)addict! I was the dude standing next to you in the black shirt on Sunday. Do you still not like "Didn't We Deserve a Look at You..."?

Hey! No, that song was just as unnerving and annoying live as it is on record. That's supposed to be the point, I get that, but it's still the only Shellac song I regularly skip.

Ahh, I thought that live version would've changed your mind...

ALSO - Not sure if it was anyone here, but my friend got in the Sunday show because, in his words, there was "a woman with a plus one who didn't show up" and she let him in for free. If that woman was any of you on the forum, thank you! If not, then I apologize to all of the women on the forum.

I know that woman. Glad to hear that your friend made good use of the ticket.

Oh awesome! If you see her or what have you, please extend my gratitude, even though it wasn't me who got the ticket.

Shannon Wright can own a stage.

It was my first time actually seeing Shellac (woo!) and they were amazing, which I guess is nothing new. High expectations for tonight.

I was the dude in the off-white shirt on your right. I can confirm the dollar was thrown.

Also: Saturday was one of the best live show nights of my life. "I'm pretty sure you can get away with burning more shit in Detroit... but Milwaukee has a lot of cool vintage shops."

Our camera, it is crappy, so the photos, they are grainy.

I had a blast hanging out with MWilke at Saturday's show in Minneapolis. I got there a little late, so I missed the first couple of songs in Bellini's set, but they were quite enjoyable and I was glad to finally see them.

Shellac were their usual terrific selves, though I was surprised the show was over so quickly. Perhaps my memory isn't what it once was, but I swear I'd seen them play sets of greater than 2 hours in the past. Saturday clocked in at just around 80 minutes. That said, it's always better to leave wanting more! It was a great set with good energy from the crowd, which made it extra fun.

Yeah, the crowd pretty much went nuts when they started taking the kit apart. It was pretty great.

I had a friend with an extra ticket and a ride to the Minneapolis show, but was unable to juggle all of the balls in the necessary fashion, so I did not make the show. 'Twas truly a bummer. Regardless, I've enjoyed photos and stories and was given a consolation "XX" t-shirt. Very sexy.

Congrats and thanks to Shellac for... well... everything.

I'd call that a fair trade - those shirts sold out really fast!

These shows were really, really a great time. The Lincoln Hall shows had almost a BBQ type vibe, with all the PRF people and good cheer and extremely intoxicated women and whatnot.

Oh man, those two chicks on Sunday to our right were hilarious, then very annoying, then hilarious again.

I still can't decide which part of the Minneapolis show was my favorite-when Steve and Bob ran off the stage, with Bob still playing his thumping bass line off-stage and Todd still keeping the beat on stage, or when all three of them played the drums, or when Steve told his favorite joke.
