WowTim! Thank you for such a long and in depth reply to that post. I love reading your writings regarding SKWM. And a big high-5 for going to the trouble of giving the albums a bit of spit-and-polish for us vinyl junkies!

So Tim, ...His Abscence will be a standalone ep as it was originally? Or part of In the West?

I think standalone.

That's a bit up in the air, though.

There's a bunch of live stuff from the direct-to-DAT session that yielded Little Sister and Scruffy on L'ajre.

I need to mine that and see if there's a bonus LP worth of stuff in there. Probably is.

The guitars sound really wonderful. The playing on it is great. I think there's plenty of Telecaster, probably more than before.

There's no Mint Mile thread (that I know of) so I am putting this here (for you to listen to).

A reminder/alert that Mint Mile is playing *twice* in the Pacific Northwest this weekend.

Saturday, September 26 at Sunset Tavern in Seattle.

Sunday, September 27 at Mississippi Studios in Portland.

Please inform all interested parties.

Both shows are with Joel RL Phelps + The Downer Trio and Zebra Hunt.

I'll let Tim run down the band's lineup for each show.

That Seattle link seems to be a private event page. Looks like there is a public version here:

Wish I could be there!

Hey, yeah, so bears repeating:

Northwest shows--Seattle this Saturday, Portland this Sunday.

Same bands both shows.

Joel RL Phelps and the Downer Trio, Mint Mile, Zebra Hunt.

JRLP/DT play last in Seattle and are supposedly playing a long time I think. It's their 20th anniversary special performance jam, and Joel just turned 50 so everyone will cry and be happy he is old.

MM plays last in PDX for some reason. We will play a couple-few things that we probably won't have time to play in Seattle.

I do not know when we will come back, so I hope to see you there if you can make it.

THANKS

Please tell me "His Mark Replies" made it to wax!

Thank you.

Fear not!

"His Mark Replies" is technically a bonus track, and counts as part of "The Operative" because it's essentially the coda to that song.

This is so!

It was only ever mentioned as its own thing on the inside of the booklet. I dunno why only there--must've had a reason....

So yes, this jazz is available now, and if you want a) white vinyl and/or b) a g-dd-mn TOTE BAG, you must...act...quickly.

Awesome news. Going for the bag combo. I don't know if I care about colored vinyl though, so should I flip a coin to decide on black or white?

Went to order the LP + tote bag bundle. $49.45 postage (on top of the $23) for shipping to Australia. That's $103.60 AUD. Fucking USPS (and shit Aussie dollar).

EDIT: On a positive note, I watched Couldn't You Wait? again last night with my wife. She is now one of those weirdos that likes Silkworm.

EDIT 2: Touch & Go just updated their shipping options. $21.85 now. Will order.

I fucked up and ordered the LP without the tote bag. When I realized that, I thought, "No, big deal".

Woke up this morning and immediately e-mailed Touch and Go to request they revise my order.

Gonna look so TUFF at the farmer's market straight puttin' veg in that bag.
