I'm not sure if this is a split with the same Shoppers I saw some months back, but I like them a lot. Cool people.

Nice finds. For me, this:

DFA has fewer than ten copies left on vinyl, apparently they found some. Used to work to this album all the time at my last job, would really help me get into the groove. Never really heard it until now though. Love this record.

The Trypes - Music for Neighbors LP
Arthur Russell - 24 -> 24 Music CD reissue

Really pleased with the Trypes reissue. Acute did a really nice job with the liners and everything else, well worth it if you're interested in anything Feelies-related.

Got myself an early birthday present last night and bought two records:
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone, because I want to listen to something pummeling and brutal at work and during my commute this week; and
The Best of Santo and Johnny, because I want to listen to something relaxing while drinking lemonade in the sun this weekend.
I.me.we.us.they.

If you don't have it, get the self-titled album.

I've flaked on this thread and I've purchased too many records. I've been really enjoying The War On Drugs and White Denim. White Denim!!!
I play bass in Fake Limbs.

What's this like? I've always found Blackwell/Cherry to be a pretty unstoppable combo, but I've been put off by the fact that it always seems to be a bit expensive when I see it, and I don't trust Jazz on ECM. I don't have nearly enough records with Blackwell drumming though, one of my favourite drummers.
Don't shun it. Fun it.

Most Main stuff is - IIRC the only vinyl releases are a few 12"s and splits, and this 3xLP set.
