Need this. How's Roy's side?

It's excellent -- the whole reason I got it, in fact. Someone uploaded RM's track here. The funny thing is that it's the exact same recording he used for track 6 on the first Hash Jar Tempo album, just without the Bardo Pond parts. I've always loved his playing on that song, though, so I'm happy to have a soloed version of it on vinyl.

I have this. It's been a while since it listened to it, but I remember it being some damn hot guitar playing!

Yes! Real, real hot guitar playing. I think it's time for you to bust it out and get reaquainted.

It blows my mind that MdP is in his 90s and still playing.
I guitar Conformists.

Spent the day at the PREX yesterday. I traded in a metric ton of CD's and 7" singles, and used the credit for, amongst other things:

Young Fresh Fellows The Men Who Loved Music
Yellow Swans & Burning Star Core

I didn't even hit the "Avant Garde" section for fear of my head exploding.

Biggest disappointment: Captain Beefheart's Grow Fins Vol. 1 on vinyl, affordably priced in the "New Arrival" bin, upon closer inspection had a huge scratch that made it, unfortunately, not a good candidate for buying.
I make this music.
I also make pictures that you can buy. Feel free to look at my records for sale.

+1. That said, I thought it was part of a subscription series - or are individual copies available somewhere?

Edit: nevermind, just saw that http://grapefruitrecordclub.com offers them separately as well. $39 incl. S&H to Europe? Ouch.

I pre-ordered the Superchunk limited edition 'This Summer' 7 inch in white vinyl.
A cover of Bananarama's 'Cruel Summer' is the b-side.

They were kind enough to send me a gift with the purchase, so I also own a CD copy of Superchunk's Clambake Series Vol 2: Music for Kinugasa's A Page For Madness.

It appears to be a decent recording of a live show from '02.
I think I will put it in the CD flip book I keep in the car.

Thanks Merge!

Today, in person, I bought:
Dog Faced Hermans - Those Deep Buds
Bill Orcutt - A New Way to Pay Old Debts and How the Thing Sings
Monks - Black Monk Time
Om - God Is Good
The Red (C/K)rayola - The Parable of Arable Land
Fairport Convention - Unhalfbricking
The B-52's - The B-52's

Also, three Thinking Fellers albums I bought on eBay came in the mail: Lovelyville, Strangers from the Universe, and Mother of All Saints. I think I will give the record buying a rest for a while and enjoy what I have and also eating.

Crumbs. You've put my music spending in a context- here I am deliberating and procrastinating over whether to spend a fiver on a Codeine CD on Ebay.

Dunno if you knew, but Numero Group is reissuing all the Codeine records. Should be out any day now.

Most of these records were between $1.00-3.00, so it really wasn't that bad. Most of 'em I bought to turn around at the flea market I've been doing once a month. Here's two three-dollar LPs I won't be selling:
