Although I own many, I never listen to instrumental albums unless it's jazz. If I accidently choose one, I wonder when the vocals are coming in and give up around the 2.30 mark.

I don't like female vocals unless they are harmonized by male vocals.

Seconded.

Also:

- I really enjoy the first couple of Grandaddy albums.

- Daydream Nation is the only Sonic Youth album I own, and I don't think I've ever listened to it all the way through.

- I like all that noisy stuff, but these days most of the time I'd rather just listen to something quiet and relaxing.

- I've never listened to Nirvana.

- Bands with loud guitars and big amps: ok already, now my ears hurt!

- I'm an indie tart.

I think that does it for now!

I love Emma when she plays live but on record, I just don't get it.

It's terrible but I wish she had a project whereby she was just the singer. The song she did on the first Magnolia Electric Co. record was great. Maybe she could do a record with Will Oldham or something. She has a terrific voice.

Sell it and buy Sister or Evol. These records are genuinely amazing and well worth hearing, even to this day.

Less of an 'indie rock' confession, and one that's about music in general: my ears are no longer open to 'all kinds of music'. That trait you see in some music enthusiasts who jive about the latest Afropop gypsy-hardcore act in the same breath as Kylie and Anal Cunt, she no longer exists in me. I'm done with this pseudish cockery. I know what I like, and I don't have enough time to fuck around with much of the shit outside of that.

That was more than a sentence.

Whoops.

Most of the quiet indie rock I'm supposed to like is half-assed, generally unsatisfying and bores the fuck out of me.

the first suicide album i got was 'american supreme'. this was based on the band being recommended to me, not this particular record.

this record is so bad i cannot pluck up the aural courage to investigate this band any further.
