Slander Cannon, this Friday 12/3/10 in Milwaukee, Sugar Maple, with Mark Henning from Zoom opening at 8:30PM.

We can beat Wereworm in paper scissors rock, but can't out thumbwrestle STNNNG, so don't get your hopes up, cheese.

I have no idea what Mark Henning's set will include.

You could possibly beat us at ping-pong. Actually, probably just me.

Milwaukee vs. Madison
Saturday, January 22 Frank's Power Plant, 2800 S. Kinnickinnic

Canyons of Static (MKE, haunting/brutal instrumental post-rock)
The United Sons of Toil (MSN, precision Midwestern noise-rock)
El Valiente (MSN, sprawling, cinematic post-rock)
The Customary Silence (MKE, efficient Beardo/Albini noise-rock)

(The same lineup is playing The Frequency in Madison the night before.)

can't we just remain neutral opposed to pitting these two fine cities against each other?
i have inside information suggesting the possibility that some participating band members actually live in between milwaukee & madison! for shame... still, that fri & sat will pretty much seriously rock. quite looking forward to it russell.

Is anything going on in Milwaukee today or tomorrow? I'm here until Monday, awaiting my appointment to be fingerprinted and photographed for my U.K. visa.

Ok, it's not really a show...Radio WMSE 91.7 is almost 30 years old. And so are we.

We'll be playing live for the first time in over a year. FUN!

This is the station where we first heard Killing Joke, SPK, The Effigies, Low, Naked Raygun, Big Black, etc. It remains a beacon of light in the Milwaukee radio wasteland.

Tuesday, March 15th, 8pm WMSE 91.7 (or http://www.wmse.org/)
