You are worried about his explosiveness returning back?

yes.

i'm sure it will, but i'm still going to worry.

The issue with Rose returning back to form is both physical and mental - maybe more mental. It's going to take a while before he makes sharp cuts without a second thought of re-injuring his knee.

Sam Smith gives some examples of players that have returned from the same injury. It definitely helps that he is young and superhuman.

The Bulls are my favorite team in the east, and it crushes me that Rose gets this injury now. (Why couldn't LeBron have torn his ACL?)

So I say this as a fan of the Chicago Bulls: we had better all hope that Boston advances to the conference finals, because at this point, Boston is our only hope of stopping the hated Miami Heat.

I'm fucking lifelong Lakers fan rooting for the fucking Celtics to come out of the East. The things that hatred for Miami makes me do . . .

This is a great question. He probably never will. His muscle mass is so great that his body works on an another level. Just a genetic freak of nature. You can see that when he mildly sprains his ankle, he returns the next game. His recovery from injury is probably superior to others in the league. To bad his character can even come close to that.

These playoffs are on course to be better than the last ones which were probably the best ones in the last 15 years or so.

I know its late since everyone has played one game already, but whatever, I won't claim to be smart if these end up being right:

SAS 4
OKC 6
LAL 5
LAC 6

CHI 5
MIA 5
IND 7
BOS 7

And that Clippers comeback last night.... how amazing was THAT?

Already, the refs have handed some questionable calls to Miami. At least Carmelo has his groove on!

Yeah the Chandler T was bogus.

My god watching Novack handle the ball is terrifying. He really can do only one thing.

Fucking amazingly fucking heart fucking breaking...

My big bro had an extra ticket to that game last night and he offered it to me, but I was feeling particularly nasty and feverish and achy so I had to turn down a chance at going to my first NBA playoff game. Ended up watching it on the couch and dozing off during the third quarter knowing we had it in the bag, then woke up at around a minute left just in time to see the Clips take the lead. Just...fucking...aghast...

I think the Grizz will bounce back and take the series, but it will probably go to game seven, but I don't think they can beat the Spurs in the next round though.

thats rough... I dont have a horse in the race in that one really but it'll be really interesting to see how Memphis responds. They were so great last year in the playoffs, you'd think they would be able to pull it off.

In other news I'm a Mavs and Bulls fan pretty much equally (lived much of my life in both places), so my NBA playoff experience is shaping up to be MUCH less exciting than last year...

Don't count the Mavs out just yet.

I can't even think about the East anymore. So depressing.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Mavs don't have another long run in them this year, but I'm not counting them out of this series quite yet. Obviously they need to win the next two, but the last two games, if nothing else, have demonstrated that they're more than capable of doing that. A couple bounces go their way and they come back to Dallas up 2-0. If they win the next two at home, then I think that puts them in great position to go steal one in OKC and have a chance to win it at home in Game 6.

Thinking about DRose being out and the Heat/Refs coasting to the Finals is REALLY depressing though....
