I haven't gone through this entire thread so, sorry if posted before.

Also Lilys Eccsame the Photon Band is amazing if you never hold.

I dig those two records to me sounds more Kinks, however. The stuff they went on to do after that are kind of a mix between the shoe gaze and poppy stuff with a little new wave thrown in.

But yes, a total abrupt style change for sure.
Maybe a little less yelling and a little more hugging.
