Dear friends:

Image

BODY FUTURES is a new Milwaukee power-pop indie-rock outfit that began playing shows in January of this year. Here is our dynamite lineup:

Dixie Jacobs - autoharp, keyboards, vocals
Michael Wojtasiak - bass, backing vocals
Christopher Maury - guitar, backing vocals
DJ Hostettler - drums, vocals

Tonight we launched our first batch of homemade demos on Bandcamp. Michael recorded and mixed them at our practice space and our houses. Chris did the album/webpage design. Downloads are $1. C'mon, these guys worked hard, you can throw 'em a buck and it'll go toward us getting our first batch of t-shirts printed in time for the PRF BBQ. Anyway.

Crank it, share it. Thanks pals!

A) DUDE, YOU'RE COMING OUT HERE? It has been way too long.
B) this clutch of songs is super good. Two and four are the ones that hit me.

A) I echo this sentiment!

B) I actually think those two are my favorites as well!

Many thanks, gang.

Not yet. We were actually only going to record "Arson," "Divorce," and "Jaw," as we thought that was a good sampling, but then we spat out "What Bugs Eat" pretty quickly, so we went with four. We want to save the recorded debut of some of the crucial jams for the full-length (which we're almost done writing!).

Bummer that one is the jam.

OH HAI

So Body Futures is heading out on the road for the first time from Wednesday, Oct. 23rd, through Saturday, Oct. 26th. We currently have some people lookin' out for stuff, but of course, we can always use some assistance if'n you've got it. Our route so far is looking something like:

Wednesday 10/23: Somewhere in Madison with The Flavor That Kills (new band from Christian from Screamin' Cyn Cyn & the Pons)
Thursday 10/24: Somewhere between Madison and the greater Indiana area
Friday 10/25: South Bend, IN/Ft.Wayne, IN...we've got folks working on this day, knock on wood
Saturday 10/26: Louisville, KY @ Mag Bar w/Weird Girl, Nemesisters, XOX (Thanks Elliott!)

So, yeah, one show confirmed right now, but solid stuff cooking on Wednesday and Friday. Right now Thursday 10/24 is kinda iffy, so if anyone in Michigan, Indiana, or Illinois wants to throw us a bone, feel free!

Look! You can see what we're like live, thanks to Caffeinated Recordings! This sounds pretty good! It's us at the PRFBBQ this year! Please ignore my occasionally flat background vocals!

Great set! I'm still pissed that I couldn't get to Borelli's in time to catch you.

PS: TEXAS, come to it!
