PIL's metal box reissue (in a square tin) for $214. Probably not selling my 4 men with beards reissue.

This is basically "second edition" with bonus material. The album is on 2 LPs at 33 rpm.

Shit, didn't even notice, that's just stupid. Buy an original or 4MWB version for half and get better sound.

4MWB Metal Box is from a digital master, but you could probably buy an original on Virgin and the CD box or a dl of the new set for all the extra stuff (which you don't get with the vinyl version anyway) and save over $100. Unless you think every format other than vinyl is big bullshit, if so £165 is what it costs for 4LP's of your preferred format in a metal box.

I figured the 4MWB was digital master. Yeah, just buy an original.

Noticed the new one doesn't say what the master is they're using, not on that page linked above. I don't care to seek the answer cuz the square box is sharp and dumb.

I think the 4MWB version sounds great. I'd be curious to see how it sounds against an original.

Bonus stuff is going to be sweet on that Metal Box reiss.

No version of 'Socialist' with Wobble on vocals though? Been looking forward to hearing that for years.

I bought this yesterday morning based off of your recommendation and boy, this record is a burner. It's great beyond belief, actually.

Even the packaging is mindblowing.

Thank you for the heads up on this. I plan on putting that download code to use tomorrow morning before my brother and I head out on a four hour drive into the early morning California desert on our quest to catch the Dead C live.

Omnivore is and has been reissuing Game Theory records for a few years now. For those of you into Paisley Underground stuff (Plimsouls, Dream Syndicate, Green on Red, et al), this is stuff you ought to check out.

I found Lolita Nation at my library. Good stuff, reminds me of the New Pornographers at times.

The LPs for the albums "Newness Ends" and "The End is Near" have been out of print for about a year, but Touch and Go Records just re-pressed both, so they are now available again. For cost reasons they are slightly different than the original versions.

You can purchase them at http://thenewyear.net/tnystore.html.
