How can you tell?

Looks like a 8-lug Gene Krupa snare. Could very well be COB.

At the very least, you could sell that case and stand separately and make half your money back.

It probably is COB. That drum should have the standard Slingerland hoops that are folded in towards the head. It instead has the standard replacement type hoops that are folded outwards.

Here is a standard Slingerland hoop

Any UK types who are a dab-hand with a soldering iron might be interested in this-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Traynor-YSR- ... 0009.m1982

A cheap Traynor, a fun project or an endless cash-hole? Your guess is probably better than mine.

If it stays around that price and is easy to fix, it could be a total winner. Good luck!

Pretty sure all the Krupa Sound King snare drums are COB. Earlier ones also have brass hoops.

Slingerland hoops were called Stick Savers, due to the reverse flange.

I personally think this looks fantastic in shell pink. I kinda love these guitars.

Dietz cabs over on talk(me out of)bass - look like they were rigged as PA cabs.

Yeah, it looks great! The F100 series 2 is my favorite G&L. The pickups are fantastic, and the active switches make for some awesome aggressive sounds. The 2 point tremolo kicks ass. Terrific guitar. I drove up to Kalamazoo to buy one on the cheap, years ago. But it wasn't this cheap!

Good snare. It does not have the original hoops though.

Definitely COB. Good sounding drums. My 6.5 from that era has a real wallop. Looks like that bottom hoop is a stick saver, top is likely standard triple-flange. Drum Factory Direct has the replacements, though.

This all tube Plush P1000S is currently sitting at Music Go Round in Kenosha, WI. I don't know if those are 12's or 15's. $600 for the head and cab seems decent.

Appears to be 15" speakers, though one is clearly missing in that photo. I think this is the one that is very similar to a twin reverb. Avoid if it is the version with the power tubes mounted on a PCB. They like to catch fire.

PS For what it's worth, I'm not done with this guitar yet. I intend to play it for six months to a year (if no one buys it) and then disassemble it for refinishing again. Eventually I hope to have the eagle with a white head and black body, with just a hint of white where the tailfeathers should be. That would then transition into a red, white and blue body giving an impression of a "waving US flag" through the lower body area. But before I attempt that, I need to find an artist capable enough to make it look right......and that isn't easy.

Thanks for your interest and may God bless!

Christ
