American tone snobs don't appreciate the old solid state. There's so many good deals on musicgoround, guitar center used, and craigslist

Anyone in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area in North Carolina - These popped up today.
60s-70s Ludwig Standard 22, 12, 13, 14, 16. No snare. $450
They look pretty sweet. I think 3 ply - the same shells as their better kits at the time, just not the same hardware.

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/msg/d/vi ... 29402.html

Unfortunately I have no money, otherwise I'd be driving down to Pittsboro at lunchtime.

Yep. The amount of TS-10's and TS-20's I see on those make me weep. Same with good microphones.

I'm recently unemployed and lately i've seen more good deals on old Randalls, traynors and Peaveys than I care to even mention or think about.

Those TS amps rule. I have a lot of them but they end up breaking, and I’m not sure they’re worth spending $100 to pay someone to fix since you can just wait and buy another for $50. My room at my old apartment was lined with them.

Well if anyone spots a TS-10 (the cooler version with pots on the top of the amp) at a decent price and is up for shipping it to the UK, I'll gladly send some cash your way to make it worth your while. Wanted one for years and they rarely turn up anywhere in Europe.

A cool late 70s Guild for $650 seems like a good deal to me.

The single humbucker is my favorite version of those strange shaped Guilds from the late '70s, that are actually modeled after an old German guitar.

Headstock repair, and missing the original HB1, means it should probably be even less. CME sells 'em for around $800 in better shape, and they're an expensive shop.

New, gold top, custom shop Gibson Les Paul Standard for $700, in Gary. Seller thinks it's from the '60s or '70s. The custom shop serial number probably came up with those dates in the online serial number dater.
