Whoops, I bought a broken 100 lb bass amp.

Don't worry, they took my offer so I didn't even pay that much for it.
Looks like it's probably a really simple fix. There's a transistor and a relay in the standby circuit, so I'm guessing one of those is bad.

Also bought a broken Sennheiser 421-II for too-low-to-pass-up price. At the very least, I'll use the body to replace the cracked body on a working 421 I already own.

Well, and if you ever get a pick-up you can throw that thing in the back for winter traction. Jesus.

Damn. If you’re looking to fix and flip (or identify issue and flip) I might be interested.

Guys, I have a problem. I just bought a second broken Svt II Pro, not 6 hours later.

What is wrong with me?

I bought this broken Mark Bass Combo Head II for next-to-nothing. Turns on apparently, but doesn't pass audio. At the very least I'll pull the amp and have a cheap 12" cabinet. Should be able to get it working though. I design Class D amplfiers at my day job, so this shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

Against my better judgement (I'm not a fan of Gibson due to their rather questionable morals) I have ordered one of these:

Image

It's the most 'fender-y' Gibbo I have come across and, because it's old stock, I'm getting a good price on it. Plus, I kinda love how awkward they look.

I love these. Totally want a Pelham Blue or Sunburst one.

I toyed with a Pelham one but I am a total fan of a nice deep black guitar.
I'm going to try and track down a white truss rod cover, I think it'll set it off nicely.

Satisfying to know I was right. Looks like a fun thing to play. I've never owned an electric 12 - not sure I'd find any use for one to be honest either...but I do appreciate a nicely done one.

If -

- "Never Being Even Remotely In Tune Ever Again."

- is on your "To Do" list, that will certainly get it done.

Followed me home from the recycle shop for $12. A set of strings, a glued seam, then 60-70 year old parlour sounds.
