For some reason I have been against pedal boards in the past, mostly because the ones my friends have used were just peices of plywood with the pedals stuck in place, so the pedals would always get damaged in transport. Didn't realize you could use a suitcase, because I am a dumbass. We have two old briefcases that will work fine. I was just going to put in the pedals I use on a regular basis, but I want to make as much noise as possible, so I am throwing in every pedal I own except for the direct box I use for banjo and an old broken digitech thing that somehow ended up in my possession that for some reason I haven't thrown away. I'm even throwing in my old DOD FX-69 grunge pedal. Actually has a good sound to it.
I am thinking I will attach the pedals with velcro because we have a lot of that around. There are probably at least ten pedal board threads here, right? I should look at those.

The briefcase thing is my favorite way to tackle the pedal board problem. It makes setup and strike so insanely fast and it looks like you are going to a board meeting. I even put little rubber feet on the bottom side of mine to keep them from sliding around.

I've never really cut, filed or finished metal into a shape before so I was pretty stoked when the guys at Ace Hardware thought I had it laser cut. I also got to work with some pretty cool metal treatment sprays which gave the brass a patina-esque silvery-blue finish. I'll learn to upload a photo if anyone wants to see.

Looking pretty good. I had a spray paint malfunction that was weird. It was in the basement and apparently got a little cold, so when I hit it with another coat, it went all elephant skin. I had to use chemical stripper to get it all off and start over. It looks good now.
I just did the graphics, i kept them simple because if he doesn't like it, i'll need to sell it to someone else, and I figured "Pepperdrive" was vague enough to do just that.
It is a Tube sound fuzz (Volume/Drive) and a simple dirty boost (Boost) that has a switch to make the boost a little dirtier, and a switch to change which circuit is first in order. Very simple. Very functional. I really like it, and hope he does too.
Should be finished tomorrow or the next day.
