Wide and Cover the Windows and the Walls are masterpieces. Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill and Ruins are the best of the more conventional sounding ones I think. Really wish that new single was an advance promo for an upcoming album, but seems it was a stand-alone release. At least she's still making music!

Seeing her in a church tonight.

Stoked.

I've unconsciously rewritten "Heavy Water" probably four times in the past year. Never come close to matching it.

I do appreciate how she is playing distinct songs, at least at the moment - tonight she played "Fishing Bird" in the middle of the set among some piano tunes, and it feels like a needed moment of contrast.

That moment when she has four Walkmans playing cassettes at full volume, cranked and distorting, and then she turns them off, a moment of silence and then she ambles off stage without a word?

Stunning.

Oh I bet it was awesome! I've always wanted to see her live, but alas, she'll never come to these parts of Canada ha. I love what she does with tape hiss too. Didn't know she actually uses it in live performances which is super cool. I looked it up and people say she often hardly plays guitar, just switches tapes and loops them and stuff. Also, I've often wondered what kind of reverb/delay she uses on her vocals on stuff like Wide. "Fishing Bird" is a classic. Does she play any of her old stuff I wonder? "Cover the Windows and the Walls" or "They Moved Everything"? "Agate Beach"? Cool she played some piano songs. Presumably stuff off Ruins. I had thought she was done for awhile so I'm really relieved she's still going. Does she play any new songs that might suggest some upcoming work? That would make me really excited!

Maybe my favorite currently active artist other than Swans and PJ Harvey, both of whom I have seen live in the last year. Need Grouper to come within my area now to complete the trifecta haha.

New album from one of my favorites. The new song is a tad underwhelming(admittedly after one listen), but that doesn't damper my excitement anyway.

Greatly anticipating the new album. Liz Harris is about as close to a for-real genius as anyone I can think of these days.
