Take a look at your link buddy. .co at the end of a major news outlet website means its fake.
Supreme Court isn't issuing decisions this time of year anyways.

Oh, that's nothing. Really. Remember, this is Scientology -- the weirdness and sordidness are fractal, and probably infinite.

Have you read Lawrence Wright's Going Clear? In my opinion it's inferior in several ways to Inside Scientology by Janet Reitman, which came out a couple years before Wright's book and is much more informative about stuff like the circumstances surrounding Lisa McPherson's death in Clearwater, FL; but Going Clear is still well worth reading, and contains this allegation about Ron Miscavige, which if true would tend to cast Miscavige père's book about his son David in rather a different light:

Lawrence Wright wrote:From an early age, [David] Miscavige had taken control of his family. His father, Ron Senior, joined the Sea Org following a charge of attempted rape lodged against him in 1985. Former church members say that significant church resources were used to contain the scandal, and that David forced his father to join the Sea Org.

I'd say calling Scientology a religion is stretching the term a bit. Christianity is a religion. Hinduism is a religion. Zoroastrianism is a religion. Some Buddhist factions are religions.

Scientology is just a hair-brained cult, like LDS, or JW's, or that one dude who says these sort of esoteric things and, man, these people totally follow him, dude.
