Willie Nelson played this big outdoor festival on MSU campus when I was a freshman in high school. My friends and I would always go to these because our parents would think they were good clean fun where we couldn't get into trouble, but we would hang out in the back of the grounds talking to girls and smoking cigarettes and maybe stealing a beer and ignoring whoever was playing. Once I started paying attention I realized it was totally awesome. Porbably was one of the best shows I've seen.
Side note: that particular night of the festival was sponsored by the company my friend's dad ran, so my friend's dad got to introduce Willie Nelson at the begninning of the concert. My friend, though only 14, had to drive the car home that night because his dad was still so fucking high from smoking with Willie backstage before the show.
