Hell yeah. I love that sound/solo. Joe Morello used the "ROCK" drumset, Ludwig (and larger sizes than most jazzbos)...I also have a fetish for his Paiste 602 cymbals, but that's another story.

super musical solos with really good phrasing and stuff are not crap. lots of great examples to throw out there, but here's one that came straight to mind. Helps that Ted Poor's sound/touch/feel is Brian-Blade-level.

That was awesome. Super expressive and creative. And, yeah his kit sounds gorgeous. Could also watch all day.
