I know I'm late to the party, but can I just say that this Wigan Butty is one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Is there a large percentage of mentally retarded people in Northern England? I can't see how else this would catch on. I mean, one-off thing that some sad, dumb "lorry driver" did once, OK. But for it to actually catch on and become a regional menu item? So stupid I can't tell if it's depressing or hilarious.
