I'm good for stamps, but what interview style podcasts do you recommend for relieving existential dread/loneliness?

Literally did a spit take.

Marc Maron remains a miserable, remarkably unfunny hack.

Started listening to Mt Eerie based on this comment, didn't even have to listen to the WTF interview.

I was on Team Maron right up until the last season of his show on Netflix where there was a recurring joke about how he was so desperate for drugs that he'd fuck a fat girl.

I've been kind of hoping to get on his show so I can make the whole thing a big confrontation about that. Just refuse to talk about "who my guys are" until he can give me some sort of explanation about how that's ok.

I mean, I get how Maron is a flawed vessel. We have a lot of the same issues, and I was RIGHT THERE with him, until that. The whole thing sort of fell apart for me after that. Fucking nerve of this guy.

Then, of course, I read here about him not knowing that The Band was Dylan's band, and I'm like "Goddamnit, Maron. You had one job."

Never thought he was interesting or funny. Heard him on Fresh Air and had the thought confirmed. Crap.

He's a beggar . And beggars get passed by in the industry.
I've been watching Glow with my lady though, and he's preatty good. Appropriate . As though they had him in mind for it. And he's been around so long , grinding . A nice little vehicle for him.

His role in GLOW is what he would have become if the podcasting thing never happened. I enjoyed it.

I like him; he's flawed for sure. The podcast became draining, but is still occasionally entertaining.

He's kind of moron. I think that he's capable of being introspective and growing, but he can still be a doofus a lot of the time. Like that incident ringo described. When I listen to the podcast, which is only when the guest is someone I'm interested in hearing, I skip the first 10-15 minutes of him talking by himself.

Randy Newman answering 'pseudo-intellectuals' without missing a beat when asked who makes up his audience was funnier than anything Maron has said in his entire career.

Damn, I may have to use some of the time I'm saving by not having to go to the post office anymore and listen to this.

I’m not much of a fan of They Might Be Giants at all, but their WTF interview is really, really great.

The Josh Brolin episode is really great so far. They don't shy away from using and recovery; lot of funny quips.

The minute I did cocaine I heard a siren. Immediately, whether it existed or not.

Interesting (albeit a bummer) to listen to his repost of Anthony Bourdain.
