can't really remember

Postby O H Lee on Thu Nov 20, 2003 9:25 pm

I saw them cuz the Poster Children were opening up them. Other than that, I can't remember a damn thing about them. I may have left halfway through the set.

Raise has some of the best guitar tones ever recorded, in my opinion.

great background music

Postby TheSlack64 on Wed Apr 14, 2004 8:36 am

Swervedriver put on a fairly decent show (at least they did when I saw them with Hum). I think Mescal Head was probably my favorite "background music" album for a good part of the 90's. Yeah, sure, nothing groundbreaking, but it was good to chill out to while studying or playing cards, or whatever that involved something else to be the primary focus of my attention.

Remind me of Ride a lot but with crazy-ass guitar work.

That's Adam's new band.

Not nearly as heavy as SWD could get. Some has almost not guitar. The "Everyday, Rock'n'Roll Is Saving My Life" ep is great though.

A band that I heard earlier on and didn't like.

Subsequently, a number of times Swervedriver was the band playing music that I didn't know that was quite good.

I like Mezcal Head, but have to say that 99th Dream is by far my favorite, a top record if you are in a mood to hear "full", excellent-sounding, detailed music.

Dig it up.
It's like you put everything into a bottle inside itself.

I bass Century Rocket Building & Small Awesome

I drum Light Coma & Bully Pulpit & BooKoos

NOT CRAP.

Maybe 3 or 4 absolutely brilliant rock'n'roll numbers and then huge quantity of rubbish.

The few brilliant numbers were good enough to warrant a NOT CRAP though. Plus very good guitarists.

NOT CRAP.
