Bump.

I've been hearing more about this band recently and checked 'em out. They ride the very fine line of being inspired by the Jesus Lizard and Rapeman (the drumming in particular is Washam-ish) versus being a cheap knock off. Good playing overall, the only thing I'm not really digging is the vocals. I think I would enjoy it much more as an almost instrumental, My Disco kind of thing.

Not Crap, simply because it's better than any of the other boneheaded 'noise rock' stuff out there.

Was actually just checking them out yesterday after hearing good things from FM J.Burns. I'm digging them, and getting more of an A-Frames vibe than anything else I've heard recently. They definitely stand out from the glut of noise rock out there.

Fake Limbs is playing with Multicult and Buildings in early September and I'm real real stoked for it. NOT CRAP.

I play guitar and act tougher than I am in Fake Limbs.
I played bass in Burn Permits.

One of the best bands going right now, with one of the best bass players. Tried to talk to her about her set-up and sound last time she came through, but she wasn't having it. A perfect blend of twang and boom. I noticed she had a Rusty Box, but I've never been able to make mine sound that good.

Aside from the bass sound, I don't get the Jesus Lizard comparisons. Vocals remind me of John from Tar. They remind me a lot of The Convocation Of, if anyone.

Never miss a chance to see this band.

The bass sound reminds me of the band Table. Has that same big-truck-engine sound to it.

Not many 'rock' outfits can get me to a venue these days, but I'd drive anywhere in the state to see these folks. Look at this:

Was scrolling down this thread to post this exact thing and then saw that I'd already done it.

Well. I guess my work here is done.

Dude also plays in a handful of grind bands.

But yeah, definitely one of the better drummers I've heard. In a WHILE. What a fucking pocket.
