Yeah. They tipped it way beyond relic-of-the-era last night. That was a large, honking, in-your-face, central-to-the-plot spacecraft, unfortunately. It distracted greatly from what could have been a fine episode.

It was a phenomenal episode until the UFO.. I agree with you 100% it was really unnecessary.

Can't lie, I was indifferent but now I kind of love the UFO stuff because it is trolling the shit out of people who agree it would be a great episode/series EXCEPT FOR THAT TERRIBLE UFO STUFF.

Since that spoiler is out there, you guys are all way crazy. That was a totally perfect, period correct lift from Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

It was great.

If you needed the difference between Ed and Peggy spelled out for ya, there it was.

Use of music in this episode was extra top notch. "Sylvia's Mother"? Jesus.

I also liked that Martin Freeman was the narrator for this week's episode.

As much as I liked last season, I like this season much more. There's a lot more subtle weird.

Both times UFOs have appeared it's been around Peggy. Maybe they're part of her delusion?

The thing I really like about the UFO in this weeks episode is it's this completely ex machina thing that saved Solverson's life, but it's been there since the beginning. Is it possible to have foreshadowing with deus ex machina?

I'd also like to make a note that it's responsible for the deaths of 2 Gerhart's. Don't know what that means.

Yep, that aspect was a bridge too far for me, too. I guess I had clung to the belief that the UFO was some sort of hallucination up to this point. Hopes=DASHED.

Here's a little shining light of hope, though. At least grounds it in something vaguely realistic.

I hear you. I had to make an effort to get on board with it.

I got excited when The Fargo cop said it "It's just like Rapid City all over again", thinking that that would be a teaser for season 3 (like they did with season 2), but it looks like next season is going to be contemporary.

While I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it, it was great that the story Lou told Greta on the front porch last season actually happened this season. I think Lou is even tying the exact same knot.

Loved the episode. The UFO was a great WTF in an hour of 'I can see this aint going to good for them' and as mysterious as Hanze. Peggy and Ed's reactions were perfect. I'd watch the entire episode again only to hear her line.

Molly finding her mom collapsed and Lou being so close to finding out but getting pulled away by the non stop horror was pretty sad.

I think Bear was hoping to shoot Dodd himself the way he was saying brother.

I'm going to be really sad once this is over. Maybe the best season of anything since Breaking Bad?
