Trapped-in-a-Room Dome 2: TJ Miller vs. Russell Brand

Just because the original thread was good enough that any branching out should be in a new thread:

TJ Miller
I've never wanted a character in a movie to die more than his in that Transformer movie.

Russell Brand
Seriously, dude. Take a fucking breath.

I dunno who TJ Miller is but would be fine with Brand as long as there wasn't an audience.

I've liked TJ Miller in Silicon Valley, but haven't seen him in anything else or heard his stand-up act.

He was being erratic and grandiose in interviews a while back, around the time he left Silicon Valley, which hurt my opinion of him. But I learned later that he has a congenital brain defect that's impacted many areas of his life, that sort of thing included. Worth factoring in.

I remember watching TJ Miller in the short-lived Carpoolers and he was quite funny.

Honestly being trapped in a room with any celebrity is probably going to be more interesting than whatever I end up doing today.

TJ Miller. I'm not sure I would be able to resist punching any "voting is a sham and you shouldn't participate" type and Brand definitely wouldn't beat me up back, so..

I played a (super wasted) show on my 27th birthday at Kung Fu Necktie in Philly. Afterwards, TJ Miller was playing pinball by the bar. I recognized him and went over to him. He was not happy that I knew who he was and I was feeling like an asshole so I yelled out, "Hey, you're that guy from the HBO show, Silicon Valley!" I guess I was the one who was being rude, but I'm sorry..you're famous. I eventually got him to take this picture with me and one of my friends. He was grumpy, but for the 5 seconds of posing for this picture he was ALL smiles.

Russell Brand.

Don't know who TJ Miller is really, but there are very few famous people whose company I would enjoy more than Russell Brand(at least from what I happen to have seen of him). Helps that most of the shit he passionately spouts off about when he's being serious happens to be what I think as well. We could talk politics, activism, philosophy, spirituality. I'd be excited to find anyone I could talk to about such things, particularly without the cynicism or elitism that usually accompanies them. He's open-minded, considerate, and genuinely interested in other people's views, which makes him a rarity in the modern world. Don't think he deserves all the hate he gets, but that's just me.

Yeah. He also seems like he'd be more likely to stop talking at some point.

A better Thunderdome would be “Trapped in a room wearing a blindfold: Is the voiceover on this iHOP commercial TJ Miller or Jason Lee?”

Seriously, who is it?

He should be thankful he wasn't trapped in a room with you.

Haha, for all intents and purposes I think that he already felt like he was. Meh, he was an asshole. I was insufferably drunk. We had fun, just look at that expression.

Yeah, beanmaestro, that story is not flattering.

And Brand. Whatever his actual motivations are, I'd like the airwaves to be clogged up with more of what he's trying to say. Either guy seems fine to chill with, tho.

Gonna go go with TJ , only because he seems to have slightly less of a God complex.
I'm sure that I'd have a fine time with Russell notwithstanding.

When Eric Hoffer's The True Believer is reprinted(again) , they should put Russell on the cover.
Hopefully in black and white. He would appreciate that aspect. It would probably feel more timeless in his mind.

You mean you assholes have never acted like an asshole when you were drunk before?

Not that it should excuse asshole behavior, but still, I don't think it necessarily makes him an asshole.

But nobody wants to be trapped in a room with a drunk asshole.

Although I might choose to over Russell Brand.

Drunk asshole Russell Brand that sounds terrible.

I should go to sleep.
