I will darken Peege's thread no longer with talks of white bread.

We could relay race.

I totally have a post about my old man at an Outback Steak House.

Hawaiian rolls would be WAAYYYYYYY better with BBQ than shitty, 50-cents-a-loaf, white bread. Blech. I hate the flavor, but I REALLY hate the stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth texture. Actually, just about any bland soft dinner roll would be a marked improvement. Fuck, eating my greasy, sauced-up napkin would be an improvement.

Both have good points and both have bad points. There's no need to argue. It's just barbeque. A dead animal cooked over smoke, sometimes drowned in a tangy sauce.

I haven't had TX BBQ. I've never had a reason to go to Texas, maybe some day. I hear it is more centered around beef like burnt ends and briscut. You can find elements of Carolina BBq at establishments in KC. I think FM Atomjackfuser summed up the KC side of things, currently, with his list.

Arthur Bryants, Q-39, SLAPS, or Oklahoma....errrr Joe's Kansas City (only available Wednesday nights or Saturdays lunch) are good. Get them early though as the stuff runs out pretty quickly.

WHAT ARE BURNT ENDS?

Thanks for the recommendations! We went to Arthur Bryant's and maybe we caught them on a bad day cause it wasn't so great. We tried to go to Joe's, I think. That's the place in the back of a gas station, right? Man, the line was out the door and around the block so we didn't get to try it, but clearly, it is kicking ass.

My wife and I both thought Kansas City was a great town, and I always tell people it's a very underrated city, along with Milwaukee and Cleveland.

I think every PRFer that comes through KC that I know of has met me at Gates. The truth is Gates is best at lunch time.
