Incidentally, there's another album with Crazy Horse in the can - this one is all originals.

Is it a new recording? Or are they finally releasing Toast?

New recording. Poncho talks about it in this really good interview in RS.

Toast is all done. Neil is just sitting on it.

Did anyone see Journeys?

A few folks and I caught it at the Music Box a few weeks ago. My only qualm was that the concert footage should've been louder. Other than that, fine, fine film. I kind of hope the DVD of the film will include extras that consist of the entire drive with Neil.

OH FUCKETY FUCK FUCK FUCK.

I just now realized that it already came and went here (Saint Louis) in the past week.

What am I, living under a rock? How did I not notice this a few days ago?!

Journeys was good.

Anybody out in Colorado? I flew into Denver yesterday, seeing them Monday night.

I'm trying not to look at the set lists, but I heard on the tour opener in NM, they played one Americana song and six new songs no one has ever heard before.

Yeah, I'm with these guys. I've never liked Neil Young. Musically, he's OK sometimes, but I really cannot stand his voice. Waffles because he's a persistent fucker and he put out Acetone's last record.

A non-spoiler comment regarding the NY&CH show last night:

MAN was it great to see dudes that age rocking that hard. There were several segments of leaning-into-the-amp feedback and raucus caterwauling that you'd expect from folks a third their age. The "it", she was "brought".

Hope I can still raise that much hell when I get older.

New song from that Red Rocks show, Youtube or mp3. 24 minutes long. I'm only ten minutes in right now, but goddamn YES.
A whopping thirteen years of guiding the melody via bass guitar in ifihadahifi.
Also swell guy.

http://doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/29629148690/arc-2012-for-nearly-two-decades-now-fans-have

"For nearly two decades now, fans have dreamed of a sequel to Neil Young & Crazy Horse’s feedback magnum opus Arc. Right? Oh, it’s just me. And Nigel — the D&G reader who mixed together Arc 2012, consisting of the pummeling jams that have concluded performances of the new “Walk Like A Giant” this month. 35 minutes of earthshakingly brutal amp abuse played in the open air in front of tens of thousands. Trust me when I tell you it is the noise album of the year. As an added treat, I’ve tacked on the exceedingly rare “single edit” of the original Arc, which was all the rage back in ‘92. Turn it up. "
