Nutball: Neil Young

I legitimately stopped listening to his stuff from 1980 onwards, aside from a perfunctory once-through listen. It doesn't matter to me that he hasn't produced anything I love for three decades or so. For his run from the late sixties to late seventies, he's always going to be one of my all time favourites.

Incidentally, there's another album with Crazy Horse in the can - this one is all originals.

Is it a new recording? Or are they finally releasing Toast?

Did anyone see Journeys?

A few folks and I caught it at the Music Box a few weeks ago. My only qualm was that the concert footage should've been louder. Other than that, fine, fine film. I kind of hope the DVD of the film will include extras that consist of the entire drive with Neil.

I honestly have never understood why some people think Neil Young is both a musician and/or human being worth one's time and attention.

I do not at all understand the longstanding "indie/underground" appeal of Neal Young.

Yeah, I'm with these guys. I've never liked Neil Young. Musically, he's OK sometimes, but I really cannot stand his voice. Waffles because he's a persistent fucker and he put out Acetone's last record.

MAN was it great to see dudes that age rocking that hard. There were several segments of leaning-into-the-amp feedback and raucus caterwauling that you'd expect from folks a third their age. The "it", she was "brought".

Hope I can still raise that much hell when I get older.
