DCFC are OK. But really they put me the fuck to sleep. It is absolutely something that I do not get. I don't think they're incompitent in any way but they just bore me to damn tears man! True, they have awesome innovative recordings that sound genuine and original with great sound quality. But I have to say CRAP,CRAP,CRAP. And I have all of their records. Postal Service destroys DCFC. If I had feelings I'd be sorry.

Death Cab For Cutie is an okay band to me. I can listen to their records and enjoy them. I actually saw them play in Boise on Sunday night and they were really good!

They have a handful of songs that are real winners -- "For What Reason", "405", "Company Calls", "I Was A Kaleidoscope", "Styrofoam Plates" and "The Sound Of Settling". I will listen to these songs of my own volition from time to time, which I guess is a NOT CRAP vote in its purest form.

Plus, I know some people who seem to make an actual and honest connection with this band, and these people are not fools. That will always earn a checkmark in the plus column from me.

However, they have some songs that are real CRAP. There is also a sad puppy dog factor that exists with Death Cab, which is annoying. And for a pop band, they can sometimes be pretty hookless, which is death!

NOT CRAP, with a waffle factor of four.

Spiting Death Cab for Cutie by swapping out the word cab for crap is not as clever as you may believe.

Not Crap.

Am I following proper format here?

i'm just trying to figure out why you didn't call them Crap Cab For Stinkbox. that's really got me so befuddled and/or possibly perplexed. confused even.

i'm not voting here. i don't know their music well enough, though i recall thinking some of it was good enough, and that was long long ago. and they are nice guys, or were back in the day.

but 'crap crap for crappy' has a nice ring to it

Death Crap from Booty?

God, if he could look further into his own navel while writing his insipid whiny lyrics, maybe he would get sucked in and negate his own birth.

Dooty booty.

Faiz

In hindsight, I changed the "for" to "from" because it gives the band more direction, which they surely need.

Their first record was a great Built To Spill rip-off and it arrived around the time BTS was starting,in my opinion, to go south. NOT CRAP for the first record.

i went through a death cab phase about five years ago, then ignored them for a few years, and then saw them recently and it had all the bland sweetness of a California strawberry in November. For their credit the sound at the show was really bad, but Ialso found the softie aesthetic not very endearing at all.

four years ago, through "we have the facts...": not crap.
now: pretty close to crap, even without hearing the newer records. it seems their hearts are in other projects.

i never thought they were even close to being as good as Built to Spill, but i don't think they really sound like BTS anyway. There are other west coast bands that do the sweet and/or electro-tinted pop thing better, i.e. Grandaddy.

This is a band like so many others, where the first hit is the sweetest, and you spend every subsequent experience chasing that feel.

BTW, not a junkie. This is just my new modern music phenom cliche.

I liked one song by this band - still do - but must vote PAP.

That's negative.

Ugh. Boring boring boring. Why won't they rock?

His lyrics are such asstacular shit.

death cab for booty kinda wrote:Oooh..my daddy was a jerk. My daddy didn't love me. something about paper plates. blah blah blah we get money thrown at us for die cut packaging. my life is a waste

Yeah, well both my father and I don't love you as well.

Oddly enough, I enjoy the Postal Cervix for whatever reason.

CRAP.

I didn't realize that I had already voted and commented on this awful band. I think my first take was funnier.

My friend lent me that Postal Service alb and was expecting whiny emo electronic pop pap, but it's actually ok. 'Such Great Heights' is a good song

Not that this might affect your opinion, but I just saw a set of indie capsules written by DCFC's Ben Gibbard in The New York Times(?) Well good for him... um, I guess.

That's a new poll I guess.
