Blake's got it sewn up. That shit was dumb, but still impressive. I love it.

partially true. still fun to watch.

I would have been more impressed if he had jumped over the top of the car instead of the hood. If the car hadn't been there it wouldn't have been impressive at all.

Or what if he would have driven the car off a ramp and dunked while driving the car?

That would have been sweet. Anything involving the car moving would have been better.

They made a mockery out the most imortant athletic competiton in the world, the Slam Dunk Contest, by turning the event into a rap video. Look how expensive my car is!

No wonder white people don't like the NBA.

I feel like I'm the only one bummed about the Carmelo trade. I wish they didn't gut the team like they did. But, two top tier players are essential nowadays. I guess well just have to wait and see how it plays out.

This deal has Zeke's stink all over it.

God damn, Derrick Rose is easily my favorite currently active player who's not on my home team. (My home team shall remain nameless, though it's obvious).

Would love to see Rose get MVP, and will really enjoy watching the Bulls tear the Heat to shreds should the two teams meet again the in the playoffs.

Derrick Rose is exactly the type of player the league needs. Guys like him and Kevin Durant are a refreshing break from the rampant egomania.

Man.

Two really big wins (or losses, depending on your perspective) today. Lakers just eviscerated the Spurs. I didn't get to watch the game but it sounds like it was fucking ugly.

On the other hand I'm thrilled that Chicago won. The Heat just can't hang against the tougher teams in the league. I wonder if it's a depth issue?

Not ugly. Beautiful.

No question. That team was over-hyped from the get go. It's two top caliber players who have games that are too similar to each other, plus a somewhat overrated All Star, plus a cast of spare parts. Those three weiners might have wanted to play on the same team together, but that doesn't mean they're a good fit together with a supporting case assembled in ramshackle fashion. Let the Riley takeover rumors cook up again; I love watching this team fail.

Is it really "depth" when you don't even have a capable starting five? It's a good night for Miami if they get 20 points combined from everyone not named Bosh, Wade or James.

I am a Celtics fan and if somehow the Heat make the Finals and they play the Lakers I will root for the Lakers. That's how much I hate the Heat. For the next several seasons any season the Heat don't win a championship will be a good one. I hope LeBron never wins a championship.

I think they picked up the pace a little bit, and that's an understatement. I like how this team does not at all resemble that show time stuff they played in the 80is and 90is. I like this "dirty" stuff they are playing right now.

I'm a Lakers fan, and I mirror your sentiments about the Heat, hating them so much that I root hard for the Celtics every time they play Miami.

Here's the difference: I respect the Celtics. They are a worthy foe, and a fine basketball time, and I respect them. The Heat? Zero respect. None whatsoever.
