They're awesome.

Any chance someone could rip me the loftus CD?

My copy got stolen many moons ago and its rare as hens teeth apparently.

I was listening to it today on Grooveshark and I forgot how much I like it.

Thanks!!

Hey Ken Edge is a friend of mine I know him from Atlanta, is he still in the band?

Ken Edge IS the band haha. Blood City was jamming together but not sure what's happened with that. Ken is playing in a new band called Family Jewels with members of Golden Error. They're playing their first show this Saturday with Pygmy Shrews and Pop. 1280 in Brooklyn.

A good while back, someone posted a spoken word record of black soldiers talking about Vietnam.

Anyone still have it or remember the name?

So, I learned in the Mentally Ill/Strike Under thread that some old links I posted were dead. Since people seemed to like this, I thought I'd keep it alive because I am precisely that much of a geek. This is a series of three bigass zip files full of old Chicago punk bands. I've added some new items to it since last time.

- Busted At Oz (1981) live compilation
- The Cunts - A Decade of Fun-1978-1988 compilation/It Came From The Garage LP (1984)
- DA - Time Will Be Kind EP (1982)/ Dark Rooms single (1981) + a couple tracks from Exclamation Point, an incredible compilation from last year. Go pick it up!
- The Effigies - Haunted Town EP (1981)/Body Bag/We're Da Machine EP (1983) and why not, the whole For Ever Grounded album because it’s great. So that’s everything by the original lineup.
- End Result - Ward EP (1985)/two tracks from the Master Tape Vol. II compilation (1983)/”Truly Evil Thought” from the Hog Butcher For The World comp
- The Mentally Ill - Gacy's Place 7" (1979) (go buy the excellent Undiscovered Corpses album!)
- ONO - Machines That Kill People LP (1982) / Ennui LP (1986)
- Savage Beliefs - The Moral Efficiency Of Savage Beliefs EP (1983)
- Silver Abuse - Fall From Grace single (1982)/Live At Misfit’s bootleg recording
- Strike Under - Immediate Action EP (1981)
- Subverts - Independent Study EP (1981)
- Toothpaste - Toothpaste EP (1983)
- You Weren't There: A History Of Chicago Punk 1977 - 1984 Soundtrack, which you should buy because it has pretty white vinyl and a DVD movie you should see.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Enjoy, again.

Thank you, Dregs, I needed a couple of those.

Say, I'm looking for the two singles by pre-Cheer Accident band, Dot Dot Dot. Like '83 or so? Only had the two 7"s I believe. Later ('90s) that band name was adopted for some different project on whose lp I think Thymme Jones appeared as a guest... and also it would seem a horrible new band here in town has also taken the name (Google 'em, yikes). But I just want those earlier cuts.

Help? Here's a pic of one (from a blog with, sadly, dead links):

Has anyone got this compilation:

I mainly want it for the song Your Momma's Out of Town by Carter Lewis & the Southerners, so if anyone has just that, that'd be grand also.

Re: the Second Dot Dot Dot. I don't see any mention of Thymme Jones in the liner notes to the Dot Dot Dot Lp but I'm sure he knew those folks so it's not out of the question. The 2nd Dot Dot Dot were. Kelly from Scissor Girls. Rose From Zeek Shek and Jody from Duotron.

Anyone got Levitate by the Fall? Pretty hard to get in general, let alone online.
