This thread.

It's developed a life all of its own, a seperate beast from the PRF website.

Frightening. Fascinating.

I must learn to distill the power of such a thread for my own nefarious ends.

But how?
I am a weird recluse only here for sex.

I suggest that you use it to power a serious of lasers and satellites to wreak havoc upon an unsuspecting world, in a plot so dastardly it could only have been hatched by a Bond villain.

Jesus, I just watched about 10 of this Tyler dude's videos on youtube.
This music is way worse than most rap music, it's absolutely awful. Holy fuck I did not think it would be that bad, I assumed it was just some run of the mill hipster rap shit, with like actual rapping and actual beats. Every single one I clicked on is unbelievably bad. The rapping sounds like someone speaking complete gibberish nonsense with marbles in their mouth, without even a small hint of melody or cadence. Once and awhile I hear the word 'bitch' or 'my dick' and then a bunch of mumble mumble. The beats are terrible, all plodding and flat, not even put together smoothly or anything, nothing interesting, just garbage. Sounds like someone who has absolutely zero skill or talent at it attempting to make a commercial rap pop song. Good fucking God, people sit in their house and listen to this bullshit? Why?
I absolutely refuse to believe any human being could get actual enjoyment out of such lazy, inept, ridculous music.
Man, what I heard, the ICP clown rappers are about a thousand times more talented than this dude. Seriously. It was like listening a retarded guy order a complicated dish at an expensive restaurant. You just wanna walk over and smother him with a pillow and end it.

Please, someone post a link to the absolute best thing these people have done, lemmie see it. I just watched a gang of them and every one was absolutely atrocious.

That anyone would even approach taking this bullshit seriously says a whole bunch about the sorry state of music in 2011.

I don't know. The musical element of this track doesn't sound all that different from a Beastqueef track, to me.

That's a Liars song. All the Radical tracks are other people's beats.

Of course, the musical element in that Liars track doesn't sound much different from "Earl" or "French", really.

I think so.

Few weeks ago I watched a couple of Odd Future videos. The funeral one and another one that looked like a fake documentary on Odd Future having freestyle battles with each other. Funeral vid was okay but didn't stick with me. The other one had such pathetic freestyles in it that I figured it must have been a self-parody. I never actually got to the end though because the extremely extroverted loud mouthed crybaby white freestyle rapper I was watching it with said "Lame!" and reclaimed his laptop to commandeer youtube to something more to his preference: Shape Shifters, some kind of Illuminati-based conspiracy rap. Anybody ever heard Shape Shifters? Truly wretched cluttered excess of deluded stoner-significance blabber.

Yeah, I bet you watched one or two. Probably one. You didn't care about this group/thread until it hit hundreds of posts, with folks posting interesting things about why they enjoy this music. It's just like in the Polvo thread where you're just trying to rain on other people's parade. You should take the advice you give to deep.BTUz and keep your bad vibes to yourself.

Anyway, there are a dozen people in OFWGKTADGAFLS and dismissing all of them by watching one or two videos (probably one) is ridiculous. So is asking "what's the best Odd Future track," it's like trying to distill a whole genre down to one song. But since you asked, and since listening to this will increase by half (probably double) the number of songs on which you're basing your ignorance, here you go. I love most of their stuff, but this is my favorite track.

I think that it's very much an error to conflate noise and complexity.

Anyone can be taught to play an A major scale in a song. The order of half and whole steps that make it up will always be the same. What's complex is going up against randomness to use noise in a musical fashion.

Bet and cry and cry and cry all you want, it makes no difference to me.
This is crap/not crap and I have come in with a strong crap. If you expect only people who decide something is not crap to make their voice heard and discuss their joyful feelings, you are sadly mistaken. Not how it works. You want to live in a world where there's no harsh words, strong opinions and hard feelings. A pillow soft world where you and snuggles the fabric softener bear can run and jump through leaves on a beautiful spring day, you can touch his fuzzy little wee-wee and nobody will ever catch you. It's paradise.
This ain't that world, dude. It ain't never gonna be neither. You best off boxing those pretty ass dreams up and throwing them down the God damn sewer.

It is my job, no, my duty to rain flaming diarrhea upon the heads of those who don't know enough to recognize CRAP when they see it. Gotta teach them somehow.
If I can make one mixed up college kid feel that no, he doesn't have to pretend to enjoy shitty rap music, that is enough for me. Maybe if enough people get their head out of their assholes, maybe one day this music will not exist anymore. Maybe people will finally say ENOUGH.

Boo hoo hoo for all the dumb fucks who listen to shitty brain dead rap music and had their fweelings hurt by my mean words. They can all gather together and blast this God awful tuneless music in a basement somewhere, turn the lights down and pass around a big fat bag of dicks for all I care.
