1.5 year old fav:

PS. Randall. Been going through the Hearthouse catalog. Some of it's familiar but a lot of great new (old) stuff to sift through there. Thanks. The only time I was really into house music was like 10-12 years ago when I was in Europe and going to Berlin dance clubs. Force Inc. was the best Euro label for interesting house music then. Going through that back catalog too. A bit overwhelming.

Most artists on Harthouse, if not all, are pretty much strictly techno. I'm not a huge fan of techno, but they deal with the more funkier/house aspects of the genre.

If you or anyone else would like to lose yourself in a wealth of history and legendary mixes, I implore you to visit Deep House Page. Loads of underground shit to wade through and an active community. Pretty much the best house music resource on the Internet.

I forgot all about this song. Just popped into my head. Yes, there are much better disco/house tunes, but sometimes you just want to dance real hard. The french have a way with creating really good disco. Great bass line. On the white label remix that loop goes on forever. It kills. Sentence fragments.

Looking for music to accentuate Rhod's bday I ran across this gem from the early 80's. It sounds like Quincy Jones was doing a bit of recon, pre-Thriller.

I've been listening to the 'Strictly Rhythm - The Early Years' comp. There were some right tunes on that label.

After Hours - Waterfalls (3am mix)

Underground Solution - Luv Dancin

Sound Waves - I Wanna Feel the Music

My friend recently sent me link to this site: http://beatelectric.blogspot.com/

Lots of great streaming vintage dance music. Some of it's awful, some is just funny, some of it's amazing.

Man India invents house music in 1982 by trying to make "Disco Raga" with Roland machines:

The whole album is this mindblowing. Some writing on it here:

Not what the OP had in mind but I think it's within the spirit of the thread.

Horror-House? The perfect combination for RSMurphy me thinks.
