But maybe that's just me.

Funny, I found this place via the old SKWM forum.

This isn't right, I don't like XYZ etc. Then a few weeks down the line it's all they listen to. It's kind of viral in that sense, which makes me think that one day they will be regarded as a great band on a wider level.

Wait until you hear the second verse. I am floored by it.
Jesus Christ, Silkworm was an incredible band.

a leg plaster wrote:Anthony, give It'll Be Cool a shot and see if you dig it. That was my intro and probably still favorite record by the mighty Silkworm. Actually, sometimes it's Developer or Firewater that reigns as favorite, but it just depends on when you ask me.
Keep in mind Silkworm has a pretty large discography and Italian Platinum is near the end of it. Maybe you should try something earlier like In the West or Libertine and move forward from there. Their album In the West is easier to absorb, but as many people have found, the followup album (Libertine) really pays off with some additional listening and is often considered one of their finest. I didn't like it as much at first, but it has some of their best material on it, whether or not you realize it from the get go. For example, if you listen to "Grotto of Miracles" and don't feel moved, there might be something seriously fucked up with your ears. Seriously. You'd have to go to the best ear doctor around and pray for miracle surgery if that wasn't apparent. There's just no way you can't be moved by it.
Not Crap, absolutely no waffles.

I certainly love fire water, so let's hope the album is just as good!
