The "I'm here 10 years" thread

Postby stewie on Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:11 pm

I just realized that last week marked the 10th year of my being part of the PRF. Joined in July 2003. Of course back then it was all fields.

This forum has been a fundamental part of my life over the last decade. I've come here asking for advice and always received it. I've looked here for humor when I was sad, and have always found it. It was because of this forum that I've met some wonderful people at the TapeOpCons and the T&G 25th and the PRF BBQ and more.

We've talked about war, recession, incredible music, politics, tragedy, religion, beer, art, conspiracies, seminars, and even more fantastic music. I don't know of any other place on the internet that I'd rather spend my time. The fact that my Facebook feed is full of updates from almost all PRF members is testament to the insanely high quality of people who frequent this place. I always learn when I'm here.

I haven't been on the forum much this year so far because of a variety of kinda crappy reasons. But I've a strong suspicion that is gonna change soon.

I love all of you wankers. Here's to another 10 years!

I still feel like the newbie around the charter members, even though I've been here for roughly 2/3 of the forum's existence.

I started one on my 10 year, here...
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=62748&p=1671698#p1671698

But it never caught on. I'm, more than happy to use this one though, even if it was started by one of you July '03 young whipper snappers...

Ten years and about one month.

What happened? Where did the time go? Time marches on. The years pass.

I started lurking here 10 years ago mostly while at a crappy warehouse job. Didn't register until November though; I was too intimidated to post.

Damn, I've never stuck with any other forum for longer than a few years. 10 years, and things are still going strong!
