I brought a few ounces of the stuff back from Vietnam. It was something like 15 bucks for about 1/3 of a pound at a Saigon market, though it sells for a whole shit-ton more over here. As Steve said, it is really good. It has a rich, earthy, flavor. Think black truffles, mushrooms, toffee, bitter chocolate. If you wanna shell out the money, go for it.

I am now 100% addicted to fluffy coffee.

I just bought a Via Venezia espresso machine which is made by Saeco. From what I've been told, this machine is similar to the Barista which Electrical had for awhile. I've been using Black Cat espresso beans from Intelligentsia. I've lost all self control. I drink at least 3 a day. I am doing the "diet" / diabetic version which I'm sure pales in comparison to the full on sweetness of the non-wuss fluffy coffee. My alteration is to use 1% milk and use sugar-free syrup. Yes I know the sugar free syrup thing is probably gross to most but I'm diabetic and I's gots the sugars and syrup just doesn't cut it...

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of other espresso blends to use. I love the black cat but just for some variety. Also, for purchasing Black Cat, I was looking for suggestions of places to get this other than Whole Foods.

Scott if you haven't tried it, I recommend the Redline Espresso from Metropolis (just a personal favorite.)

I've been doing a variation of the fluffy coffee at home but using vanilla soy milk and blue agave instead of whole milk and maple syrup, respectively. Its still quite delicious.

Our wonderful intern Jud Eakin just made this one, and I thought I'd share it with y'all...

I've been craving one of these ever since we got back home from Chicago. Damn you, EA staff. Now I have to buy an espresso machine.

Just saw this and I must offer a correction: you use US Maple Syrup.
