the louisiana literacy test

Postby AAAAAAAARGH on Wed Oct 05, 2005 4:18 pm

this is the test all black men were required to take in louisiana to prove they were literate. it was mandatory for them to take it in order for them to be able to vote for president. they were technically allowed a time of 15 minutes to take it but most blacks were actually given less or just looked at it, realized it was bullshit, then left. theres no answer key because the point is that it's fucking impossible.

when was that test administered?

I have a degree from a fancy college, and I can tell you without hesitation that I would not pass that test, because:

some asshole wrote:one wrong answer denotes failure of the test

and particularly

some asshole wrote:1. Draw a line around the letter or number of this sentence.

I would fail by the end of the first question... $120,000 education notwithstanding.

Amazing.

Asshat.

That test is more confusing than any question on the 2003 California Bar Exam.
one inside (engulfed by) the other.
What the fuck does that mean?
If it wasn't for landlords, there would have been no Karl Marx.

Draw five circles that one common interlocking point.

Looks like an incomplete sentence- on a literacy test. Inbred Jed strikes again.
