9 1/2 years ago, on the anniversary of 9/11 - a tragedy - FM sawtooth wrote:i might also say that "vom himmel hoch" from kraftwerk 1 sounds like the bloody end of our awful civilization and the birth of a new, funkier one. its way rawer and looser than the shirt-and-tie era.

This is one of the raddest drum recordings ever. The snare and ride in particular have a unique snap to them. Can anyone point me to a similar sound? I know Dinger hit real hard, but surely someone else, at some point, has sounded like this.

It's great for the few minutes we hear it, but I can see how if, say, Doug Clifford was recorded this way for a whole CCR album, it'd wear thin.

I've never seen them before. The pictures I've seen from the shows look cool. I guess I should go.

FM ::: and I saw them in 2015 in Minneapolis. It was fucking awesome. Worth seeing at least once I think. I had such a great time and she scored us such great seats (9th row center!) that I am afraid I will ruin that experience for myself if I go again and it's not as good. It was pretty perfect.

It's only worth spending whatever outrageous sum they are asking for tickets if they are bringing back these electronic drum pad things. If they were playing those, I'd shell out.

Two thoughts: I don't understand why their costs are so high considering they are a band made of robots. Ship them from Germany using fedex, and once re-assembled stateside, use them as a resource to install the stage show. Lights, visuals, music, boom. Taken care of. Also, no food or hotel costs. Just lie them flat after every show.

Also, I'm pretty sure every show I have ever attended has been in 3-D.

That's basically my two thoughts.

Any time I've tried to buy Kraftwerk tickets one of two things has happened.
1-I forget the day/time of the sale and by the time I remember everything is sold out, and Row 225 resales are going for $200
2-I don't forget, but the system is overloaded and crashes. By the time I'm able to get back on everything is sold out and Row 225 resales are going for $200.

NOT CRAP. One of the greatest bands ever.

Seeing the Memphis show this tour. Saw them in Nashville in 2015 and it was incredible.

I bought tix for the St. Louis show. The floor is GA, and they were around $60 with fees. Looking forward to it.

Did I miss on a sale for the Chicago tickets because they're all $120 now which is ridiculous. I love the Werk but not paying that to see them.

It was $75 before fees/taxes, would up being around $100/each when I bought them.
