From Enslavement To Obliteration fucking rules. It's all monotonous, ear-splitting, weirdly produced grindcore (the drums are way too loud and the bass is way too quiet but everything else sounds great) and I love every second of it.

Bill Steer's guitar work on this album is phenomenal. I have no idea how anyone can play that fast. Insane metal tone, too.

Harris was a total fucking maniac.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

In the someday, what's that sound.

Didn't the band Siege invent the blastbeat etc. of grindcore, and ND just ripped it off? I think this is the case actually.

Not trying to take away from ND at all, I'm just sayin'

Influenced Napalm Death.

The videos of Siege on public access TV are brilliant.

I liked Heresy. And the Electro Hippies. Not Dr and the Crippens though.

Anyway, Napalm Death. NC.

I have no patience for this band or for grindcore in general. It's generic, hidebound crap.

One thing that interests me about Napalm Death, and I'm not sure whether this is crap or not crap, is this: not only do no original members remain, but none of the current members ever even played in an incarnation of the band that included an original member. In that respect, it's not even a band.

Man, I met the drummer from Siege one time. He was really cool, but seemed a bit out of it. "Too many drugs" he said during his days in that Relapse metal band Nightstick.

He was playing with this awesome band (Black Circles? Dark Circles? Black Spots? Cant remember the name). It sounded like if the Stooges were a ear-piercing noise rock band, with the dude from Siege on drums.

I never listen to them anymore but they used to be one of my favourite bands and I still jump at the chance to see them live whenever they play.

Not crap at all. Their mid 90's output could've been better, but their new deathgrind stuff makes up for it.

only really familiar with the newer stuff and "Harmony Corruption" but NOT CRAP. Really like 'em and think it's pretty sharp for middle aged metal veterans to still put out stuff like "Smear Campaign."

I started to listen to John Peel because his was the only show you could hear the likes of Napalm Death, Carcass and Unsane.

I am forever thankful to ND for opening a much bigger door.
